PEANUT BUTTER AND BANANA SHAKE

serves 2

Delicious breakfasts

What You Need

1-1/4 cups (360ml) of soya milk
1/2 cup (125ml) of uncut steel-cut oats - preferably soaked overnight on the counter in the kitchen in just enough water to make them soggy 1 large ripe banana, cut into chunks
2 tablespoons of peanut butter
1 tablespoon of rice syrup or maple syrup or a little honey (optional)
1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract
4 ice cubes
1 tablespoon of chopped peanuts for garnishing (optional)

Here's How

Pop everything but the chopped peanuts into a blender and blend until smooth. Top with chopped peanuts and serve immediately.


A great instant breakfast for anyone who needs more than just fruit, wants extra fiber and likes smoothies, this shake is a particular favorite with men. I add ice to it. But then, having been raised in California, I add ice to just about everything.
