My favorite green food has long been Pure Synergy, a wonderful nutritional supplement which can be used to enhance vitality, health and mental clarity. Pure Synergy is made from 62 of the finest natural organic super foods, including freeze dried herbs, immune-enhancing mushrooms and plant enzymes, plus 11 varieties of specially grown and pure wild-crafted, 100% fresh freeze dried or cold dried algaes. I take Pure Synergy each morning - a heaped teaspoon or two in a large glass of water with 4 or 5 drops of Stevia extract (see my Resources for where to order Stevia from abroad). The company that import Pure Synergy into the UK is called Xynergy Health Products, Elsted, Midhurst, West Sussex, GU29 0JT. Tel: 01730 813642. Fax: 01730 815109. Website: www.xynergy.co.uk. They sell only the finest life-enhancing supplements, many of them green. In addition to Pure Synergy, they also offer vitamins and minerals which are not chemically made, as are most vitamins, but produced in the way nature does, by growing them. This gives these supplements a much higher level of bioavailability, so your body can make better use of them. There is a Vita Synergy multivitamin for women and a Vita Synergy multivitamin for men. Both are excellent. The Synergy Company have just introduced another product I like. It is a certified organic wheatgrass juice power that tastes great - about as close as you can get to the pure wheatgrass juice itself - called Sweetwheat - filled with antioxidants, phytonutrients, chlorophyll, minerals and vitamins. Since I am a big wheatgrass fan, but can rarely be bothered to grow enough wheatgrass to make the juice from it, I was delighted when I came upon this high quality product. I have it once or twice a day when traveling, as it helps counter the exhaustion of long haul flights. Xynergy have also introduced green products from the Arctic called Seagreens. Seagreens is a combination of pure wild seaweeds, rich in the minerals, phyto nutrients and trace elements we need to ensure that our own metabolic processes function well. These elements become terribly depleted in people who have been living on convenience foods. Seagreens not only help support health, they cleanse the body of toxicity and pollutants. The organic acids they contain and the iodine are natural detoxifiers which attract and bind heavy metals like cadmium, arsenic and lead, as well as radioactive substances, and remove them from the body. Alginic acid from seaweed is an important ingredient in the detox products formulated by the President of the British Society for Mercury Free Dentistry and Clinical Nutrition. The seaweeds in Seagreens are collected from thousands of uninhabited islands in the Arctic. They grow in a marine environment, as unharmed as any can be these days. They come in many different forms, all of which are useful: As an acrylic grinder that is easy to fill and use on the table as you would salt or pepper for instance. You can also get them as a powder in a shaker which you can spread over your salad (I particularly like this, as it gives a crunchy quality and feel to the salad). They also come in capsule form which you can take as a nutritional supplement. I am so delighted to see really good quality mixture of seaplants widely available from clean sea waters. |
