The number of people writing to me with questions is phenomenal - I could fill a book with them. So I decided it maybe beneficial to show some of the more commonly asked questions and my responses to them. 1:Am I able to use coconut
cream as well as coconut milk on the X Factor diet? 1:I am now into my 6th week of the X Factor diet and feel just great but I would still like to have a cup of tea now and again this is the only thing I really miss. Also am I able to use coconut cream as well as coconut milk. The other question I have is, could I have just a full protein day without carbs. ie, whey protein drinks for 3 meals with, perhaps strawberries in at least one drink. I am delighted you are doing so well on your X Factor Diet. Coconut cream is fine – provided it doesn’t contain any sugar or sweetener. There is no reason why you cannot have a full protein day. Also, the drink that you describe has some wonderful carbs in it, namely strawberries full of phyto nutrients and good fiber. 2:I am a 22 year old man and have a body fat % of 6.1. I was wondering what I should maybe change when following the insulin balance diet to make sure it doesn't drop further. I train 5 days a week sometimes twice daily and do a lot of weight training. Is it safe fro me to follow the insulin balance diet? You have a very small percentage of body fat. It is certainly important that you get plenty of good quality low glycaemic carbohydrates. I would not in the least worry about how much carbohydrate you get; I would judge this by how well you feel. Remember exercise itself contributes powerfully to good insulin sensitivity and blood sugar control. The more exercise you do the more low to medium glycaemic carbs you will need. It is important not to over do the exercise, for high levels of exercise produce a lot of oxidated stress on the body. Certainly be sure you take a great deal of extra anti oxidants as you are training at a very high level. 3:1. Do you recommend Holosync, which is advertised on your website? 2. Any good suppliers of magnets, magnetic beds etc in the UK that you know of? (Biomagnetics UK, as recommended in Endless Energy seem to be unavailable).Thank you for Endless Energy, the Journey to Freedom and the X factor diet- I am getting fantastic results. The only slight complain: the great numbers of typos in the X factor diet, it is a shame for such a well written book! Yes I do recommend Holosync. See the archive on ‘What’s New’ for further information about it. 4:I am 45..very heavy periods..fibroids..Also have progesterone recurrent meningiomas in brain..have already had 2 X 10 hour ops..My doc says another big op. at end of year. I am sure they are hormonal. Do you think I am able to try the yam cream? PLEASE answer me as I am DESPERATE for info and I LOVED your book. Please see the information in Archived on ‘FAQ’ dealing with Progesterone versus Wild Yam cream. What you want is not a Wild Yam cream, but a cream containing natural progesterone. You will find in the ‘Resources’ on my website where this can be ordered. I suspect you need other help as well, and suggest you look at a product call Coenzyme A which helps tremendously to replenish the energy and rebalance a woman’s body at times of peri menopause. Take a look at the website coenzyme-a.com for further information. 5:Please give me the contact information for Vermillion in the UK (e-mail address would be very helpful). I need a copy of Cellulite Revolution and other titles which I cannot find in the New York City area You can order my books with The Book Service, Colchester

What I need to know is will this effect me being on Ketogenics? I do not know the brand you describe. However, your description of what it contains sound excellent. It will certainly not in the least affect Ketogenics, it should support your weight loss. 7:In your book Natural Menopause you mentioned a John Lee who used Wild Yam to cure Osteoporosis, is there any books written by him on this subject, I am interested in his work with this, John Lee does not suggest the use of Wild Yam cream to cure osteoporosis. He suggests using a cream containing natural progesterone. Please see previous FAQ on this website. 8:After 5 weeks on Ketogenics I am amazed at the changes in my body, I really have emerged from behind the fat...especially around the middle having lost 3.5 inches from my waist. The only problem is why have my hot flushes (almost over, no period for 2 years) become dramatically worse, lasting much longer and throughout the night? Your body is going through dramatic changes. I suspect this has something to do with why you experiencing hot flushes. May I suggest you take a look at my book Passage to Power. You might find it helpful to use a natural progesterone cream, or some of the very powerful and effective herbs for balancing hormones which are dealt with in the book. 9:I want to thankyou for the great books you have written. You have helped me so much with your work, and I am much healthier because of your caring. My question is a cheeky one which is not crucial for you to answer. It is : are you a subscriber to the Rawlife List on the Internet? I am, and I have found that helps me too( as well as your and Dr Norman Walker's books on salads and juices. I hope you continue to do well, and bring much needed care to the world for a long time to come, and I wish you personal health and happiness. Thank you for your kind wishes. No I am not a subscriber to the Rawlife List on the Internet, I have actually never seen it. I do however admire very much Norman Walker’s work; he died at the age of 117 by the way, after a life in which he lived at a high level of well being. 10:I have been reading your book X Factor diet and would like to follow your plan as for many years I have been overweight and no end of dieting or exercise has worked for me. My problem is that I am sensitive to Wheat and dairy, and cannot have Soya, Nuts, beans and pulses because I suffer with the herpes virus badly and have eradicated them by not eating these foods plus taking Lysine. Most of the recipes require alot of these ingredients and I am worried about my diet not being balanced if these foods are not present in the recipes! I work out every day, go to the gym 4 - 5 times a week, run my own beauty salon so do not lead a sedentary life and need food to get me through a busy lifestyle (two children, two dogs and a home as well a business to run!!) Any ideas? I would be extremely grateful for any help you may have to offer as I am fed up with being overweight and being told I must eat too much - when I know that I don't! It is not in the least difficult to follow The X Factor Diet without eating soya, nuts, beans, pulses, wheat and diary products. I tend not to eat any of those things myself, except for microfiltered whey. Microfiltered whey is a source of protein that even most people who are diary sensitive can handle. This is, however, something that you should try yourself to find if it works for you. In any case, it is perfectly feasible and can be absolutely delicious to follow The X Factor Diet using masses of low glycaemic vegetable and fruits, plus a good supply of clean protein – free range chicken, organic meat and fish. This is pretty much how I live. 11:I was feeling like I needed a "special" cool drink and I made up this recipe. I think is allowable on either Ketegenics or Insulin Balance (as long as you count the lemon juice as part of your daily carbs): Rosehip Iced Tea Make rosehip tea and let cool. Pour into a glass with a teaspoon of lemon juice, 3 icecubes and 1/4 sachet of Splenda. It is a delightful, delicately perfumed cool drink! I am interested in accessing other peoples' recipe ideas that they have discovered since eating low-carb. Will you be making them accessible through this website? Thanks so much for your recipe, it sounds delicious I must try it myself. I think your suggestion is a wonderful one and we are soon to create a forum on the website, so any one who has recipes by all means send them in and we will share them with others. 12:You state that the X Factor insulin balance diet is safe for pregnant women, however the whey protein I just purchased is labeled unsuitable for consumption by pregnant women. Are their any other alternatives ? Can you follow the diet without the whey protein? I have no idea why someone is suggesting that microfiltered whey is unsuitable for pregnant women. I suspect the company is trying to imply that you must not drink only microfiltered whey when you are pregnant in order to cover themselves legally. In fact microfiltered whey is an excellent source of protein to complement the rest of the diet of a pregnant woman. My daughter-in-law, who just gave birth to twins, used it all through her pregnancy and is using it now while she is breast-feeding. 13:Although you recommend using wild yam cream in your book "passage to power", I keep finding information that says it won't work and that I need to use natural progesterone cream. I am very confused. If wild cream will give good results, are there any in particular that are better than others that are available in New Zealand? I have never suggested that any one use Wild Yam cream in Passage to Power. The herb Wild Yam is one of the excellent hormone rebalancing herbs. If you want to use it I suggest you take it internally as a nutritional supplement. If you are going to use the cream you need a cream based on natural progesterone. |
